Test Principle
In a controlled environment, samples are mounted on a U-shaped holder at a 45° angle. The sample is ignited for 1 second, and the time taken for the flame to extend to a set distance is recorded, providing a critical measure of fabric burning intensity. This approach offers reliable assessment for safety and compliance.'The fabric's surface state, whether showing signs of gigging, fire, or melting at the base, is considered an important index of burning intensity and is meticulously noted for comprehensive analysis.
