Test Principle
The test involves securely clamping the textile sample horizontally on a U-shaped holder. A precise flame height ignites the sample's free end inside a controlled chamber for 15 seconds. Observations are made on whether the flame extinguishes naturally. The distance burned and the time taken to achieve this are carefully recorded, ensuring accurate compliance assessments.
