H033 Safety shoes cold insulation test chamber is to test the insulation against cold for safety shoes.

Test Procedure

1. Condition the prepared test piece until the temperature of the outsole is constant at (23 ± 2)°C.
2. Adjust the temperature of the cold box to (-17 ± 2) °C and maintain this temperature during the test. Place the test piece on the laboratory jack inside the cold box, adjusting the height so that the top line of the footwear is level with the opening and seal with a heat insulating cover.
3. Use the temperature measuring device connected to the temperature probe to measure the temperature on the insole as a function of time, recording the temperature decrease graphically.
4. Calculate, to the nearest 0,5°C, the decrease in temperature 30 min after the test piece was placed in the cold box.
