Test Principle
The testing procedure involves vertically mounting the specimen onto a specialized frame, followed by the application of a controlled flame to its base. The test captures the maximum flame height achieved within a set timeframe, or alternatively, the duration it takes for the flame's tip to reach a predetermined height. Additionally, the air temperature is recorded in a flue positioned above the specimen. These meticulous measurements are then utilized to calculate the material's flammability index, offering precise insights into its fire resistance capabilities.
