Principle
The process involves the nail hammers, elegantly suspended by chains, which navigate around the guide rod. These are delicately placed onto the surface of the samples, which are expertly entwined on the tumbler, facilitating a meticulous evaluation.

Once the tumbler has completed its rotations at a constant, controlled speed and predetermined intervals, the samples are carefully removed. They are then placed into the pilling assessment box and meticulously compared against a rating card to determine their precise grade and quality.
