The samples are effortlessly mounted on the testing apparatus manually, negating the need for pre-softening. For an accurate evaluation of performance, we employ the burning index. It is important to note that this test is not recommended for materials prone to melting or shrinking upon exposure to fire.
Test Principle
In our sophisticated testing process, the specimen is vertically affixed to a frame, and a controlled flame is introduced at its base. We meticulously record either the maximum height achieved by the flame within a specified duration or the precise time it takes for the flame's tip to reach a designated height, alongside monitoring the air temperature in a flue above the specimen. These critical measurements allow us to accurately determine the material's flammability index, ensuring reliable and insightful results.
