IULTCS & Veslic Leather Abrasion Tester is designed to do rub fastness test on the surface of leather, plastic and textile materials. So as to determine the amount of marring of leather surface or finish and the amount of color transfer to the wool felt. Dry and wet abrasion tests are available.

Test Method
Under specified pressure, the sample is placed on the test surface and clamped to do reciprocating abrasion; Then insert the wool felt in the end of the rubbing head and switch on the tester. After test for specified times, inspect visually the color changing and fading of sample wool felt and discoloration of wool felt. In the case of colour transferring, the wool-felt rubbing pad is evaluated using the grey scale.
